Book Review: The Quilting Book by Christina West and Kacey Crutchfield
Before I was a full-time quilt pattern designer and instructor, I was a Librarian. During my 18 years as a Librarian, I wrote professional book reviews for School Library Journal and Library Media Connection. I thought it would be fun to bring those skills into my quilting world and review quilt and craft books for you. For every review I also do either a project or one of the skills in the book to test how well-written the instructions are. My goal is to help you build a craft library that is intentional and is filled with books you will pick up over and over again.

What I Loved:
- The How to Use this Book Page
- Excellent photography and descrptions
- Sections were really well organized and easy to comprehend
- The projects were cute
- Technique section is a masterclass in quilting techniques
- The page numbers for techniques were given for the various quilt blocks and projects so you knew exactly which page to turn to if you needed help with a skill
- QR code for printable templates
My Project:
I followed the directions for making the half circle unit. Thie directions were easy to follow and I'm really pleased with how my half circle turned out.
