How to Make the Disappearing Nine Patch Block
In this blog I'm going to show you how to make the disappearing nine patch block. You can get the pattern here by joining my newsletter: Free Disapparing Nine Patch Pattern.
For the first step, sew an A to each side of B and make two of these.

The next step will be to sew C in between two B pieces. Make sure to turn B so it aligns properly with C.

Sew the rows together into a nine patch.

Mark and then cut horizontally across the center and vertically across the center to get four pieces.

Flip piece 2 so that the C or your colored square is at the top right corner. Sew 1 and 2 together.

Bring piece 4 to the left and then flip so the color is in the bottom right corner. Then sew 4 and 3 together.

Flip the row so that 3 is on the left again. Sew the top row to this bottom row.

And that is the disappearing nine patch. It starts out as a simple block, but becomes somthing more with just some easy cutting and flipping.
