Two Machine Appliqué Tools You Can't Live Without

Two Machine Appliqué Tools You Can't Live Without

I have two tools that I always use when I machine appliqué.

Open  presser feet and self-threading needles are game changers when doing machine appliqué and I never work on a project without them.

Bernina has an open embroidery foot (20C) that allows you to see where your needle is going so you get perfect appliqué edges every time. You can see in this image how easily I am able to see where my needle is in my project.

The self-threading needle makes it quick and easy to bring your loose threads to the back of the project. It has an open top that you can easily pop the thread into without having to struggle with threading short threads through the eye of the needle.

In the video tutorial, I will demonstrate how to use the open presser foot and self-threading needle while I appliqué the seashell from the August Gladiolus pattern.
