Texas BBQ - #QuiltBlockMania
It's time for another #QuiltBlockMania post!
This month the theme is dinner, and nothing says dinner like a yummy plate of Texas barbecue!
Your dinner plate comes with ribs, corn on the cob, and a slice of white bread (because all Texas barbecue comes with a slice of white bread). Typically you would also have potato salad and baked beans, but they just did not make cute applique pieces. 🤣 In fact, it was hared to make any of it look really cute. Delicious food does not always translate to cute applique. But I do think that this block could be adorable with the right fabrics.
You would also have brsket, so if you want you can leave the rib bones off your project and then the ribs will look like slices of brisket. If you received the watermelon pattern, you could also add some watermelon to your block.
Honestly, I never really liked brisket until my brother started making it. He makes the most delicious brisket and ribs. Also, there is no sauce on this block, because good barbecue doens't need it. If you have to add sauce to give your meat flavor, then your meat wasn't made right. Man, now I'm craving a good Texas barcue meal. 😊

The Texas BBQ pattern is only free through the month of November when you sign up for my newsletter.

I hope you have as much fun making your block as I did designing it!
