Texas Boots - #QuiltBlockMania

July's #QuiltBlockMania block is probably my favorite!

This month the theme is beauty/style and nothing is more stylish to a Texan than a good pair of boots!

Here's an embarrassing fact about me.  Even though I was born and raised in Texas, I didn't own a pair of boots until my senior year in high school.  I'm not really sure why.  They probably weren't really my style and a good pair of boots are expensive!

But here I am in all my Texas Rodeo glory in college with my big hair, boots, and Rockies jeans (the height of style for a country girl).  Ironically you can't see my boots, but I promise they are there.  This is circa 1995, so be kind. 

I added a little star to my boots to make them a bit more decorative.  The decorations are typically in the designs that are sewn into the leather, so have some fun when you appliqué these to the background fabric.
